Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy, in case you hadn’t heard. How dare she remove those ticking time bombs from her chest, amiright? Like, hasn’t she learned by now that her body is public domain and we all get to vote on what she does with it? Sheesh, how selfish can ya get.
In response to the news that Angelina Jolie opted to undergo a double mastectomy as a preventative measure so that she wouldn’t face an 87% chance of developing breast cancer and potentially dying, I cannot help but notice a disgusting trend in some of the comments from men. The sentiment behind these statements is nothing short of revolting. A woman is not her breasts.

Did we miss the part about the reconstructive part of the surgery? coz the way I read her piece, she has tits, just not the ones she had before.
Is it just me or are all of those comments by men? Because of course, let’s completely miss the point, where she’s getting preventative surgery for CANCER, and instead focus on the important part - no longer will men be able to see her naked breasts in movies.
Because that’s really what we should be focusing on.

As I Lay Dying Singer Attempts to Murder His Wife, Metalheads: “She Probably Deserved It!”
Tim Lambesis of Christian metal band As I Lay Dying was arrested Tuesday night in a murder-for-hire plot. Apparently, he did the nice Christian thing and tried to hire a hitman to MURDER his wife, who was filing for divorce. More like As I Lazily Lay on the Couch While Someone Else Does My Dirty Work, I guess?
Anyway, what do you do when you hear about the lead singer of this band you like attempted to KILL his ex? Well, YOU BLAME HER BECAUSE SHE’S MOST LIKELY A BITCH WHO PROBABLY DESERVED TO DIE, OF COURSE!
Lots of very opinionated people out there saying “WAIT ‘TIL WE HEAR MORE BEFORE WE BLAME POOR TIM” and then proceeding to jump straight to the conclusion that his wife was somehow a terrible person deserving of death!
“Props dude for having the balls to hire someone else to kill your wife!”
And as usual, when it comes to ANYTHING being discussed on the internet involving a woman…

… the socialization of boys regarding masculinity is often at the expense of women. I came to realize that we don’t raise boys to be men, we raise them not to be women (or gay men). We teach boys that girls and women are “less than” and that leads to violence by some and silence by many. It’s important for men to stand up to not only stop men’s violence against women but, to teach young men a broader definition of masculinity that includes being empathetic, loving and non-violent.
When I had my son, he was stuck in there for a while. The doctor came in singing a song from a musical. I used the eff word to him. I don’t really like the eff word, but sometimes it’s the only thing you can say. “Eff you and your stupid song!” I told him. “You’re a son of a bitch!” Most men are sons of bitches. Not my husband—god rest his soul—he was my angel. But other men, they just want to have sex with you, and touch your tuchus. I’m 88 years old. I don’t want any man touching my tuchus.
Now, when my daughter was born, that was easy! She slid out of my vagina like she was greased up and on wheels. So don’t worry. You’ll be fine!
I was reading an “obscure pregnancy tips” article when I came across a paragraph describing the “little known fact” that at a certain point, you won’t really be able to see your ladybits in order to safely do any hardcore maintenance. I’m like
Whatevs, no big deal.
The article then went on to say that you should find a good waxer in that case, so you don’t upset any unsuspecting wayfarers, you know, like partners and doctors and such.
Let me think for a sec how I feel about being told to let someone wax my puanani so that I don’t upset the delicate sensibilities of any doctors.
So yeah, that’s not going to happen, but thanks for letting me know how horrifying women are and how we should really control all that nonsense down there so we don’t upset people!
They’re just going to have to deal with it! IDGAF if they have to send in a search party once he comes out.

I dunno about the bra straps/marks one. I mean yes, some are worn to look sexy for your SO, but that’s not why I wear mine, and honestly that up there looks like she could’ve used a better fitting bra, lol. I’ll reblog something an internet friend posted, but it shows that you can’t trust your average sales lady to fit you properly for bras. A few years back when I adjusted mine I went down a number of band sizes and up cup sizes and my bras, even the cheaper ones, fit so much better.
I actually tell all of my clients who come in with shoulder, neck and back problems and looking like this, to get fitted for a bra. Yet, I’ve never done it.
On the other hand, I almost exclusively wear sports bras, and recently I tried the Medela nursing bra, and let me tell you: It is the best bra ever, nursing or not. I’ve never worn anything so soft and comfy. Wish I’d started wearing them years ago.
But do take a look at some of the other photos. The one with the shoe straps is painful to look at. (We kill our feet, knees, and low backs with those goddamn nonsense shoes; I can’t even begin to tell you.)
